Bernalillo County Continues Efforts to Keep GE Plant Open
 Bernalillo County 2nd District Commissioner Art De La Cruz has requested a meeting today with the General Electric plant management to explore options to keep the plant open.
“I am greatly concerned about the negative impacts that will result on the workers, their families and the community if GE decides to close their Albuquerque facility,” the Commissioner says. “I am positioned to do everything in my power as a County Commissioner to keep this plant open in the South Valley, District 2, and to ensure that these dedicated workers remain employed.”
Commissioner De La Cruz hopes that through his support of the employees of the Albuquerque plant and the mission of the facility, GE’s management will be open to work on the collaborative efforts with Bernalillo County to keep this plant operational. |
