9/8/2009 Municipal Election: October 6, 2009
Municipal Election: October 6, 2009
Voter Registration Closed September 8
The next election in the Bernalillo County area is just around the corner on Tuesday, October 6, 2009. This Albuquerque municipal election is administered and conducted by the Albuquerque City Clerk. The Bernalillo County Clerk's office plays only a supporting role qualifying voter registrations and authorizing voting machines for use by the City.
This year, registered voters living within Albuquerque city limits will go to the polls to elect the Mayor and, in many cases, a city council representative. For 2009, five council districts (odd districts from 1 to 9) are elected. A series of Municipal Bond questions and Charter Amendments will also appear on the ballot. For more information about the Municipal Election ballot visit the League of Women Voters of Central New Mexico.
For information about requesting and casting an absentee ballot or voting early for the Oct. 6 Municipal Election, contact the City Clerk's Office at 768-3030.
You should also contact the City Clerk for questions about Election Day polling locations and hours, working as an election official, specific information about candidates or other questions on the official ballot.
