Bernalillo County Commissioner Art De La Cruz and the Board of County Commissioners invite you to the Pajarito Open Space Trail Opening and Prescription Trail Initiative Kick-Off Event. The event takes place this Saturday, August 22, 2009 from 10:00am to Noon at the property with directions listed below.

 
“Integrating walking trails with existing Open Space properties fits perfectly to  create an ideal exercising opportunity for residents and families and visitors in the South Valley ,” says Commissioner De La Cruz. “Allowing time to visit the trails helps us slow down and calm the soul and get away from it all for a while. There are proven health benefits of walking and enjoying nature’s beautiful open space areas.”

Pajarito Open Space is located in the heart of the South Valley. From I-25, take the Rio Bravo exit and go south on Isleta Boulevard for about 3 miles, then turn west on Don Felipe. Go south on Beck Road where the property is located on the west side of the street.

 

Commissioner extends an invitation to the public to come and enjoy many of the other prescription walking trails at the following Bernalillo County Open Space properties: Rio Bravo, Gutierrez-Hubbell House, Durand, Sanchez Farm and Valle de Bosque.
